Beth has a solid and diverse foundation in music and teaching, which includes a degree in classical piano and voice, a diploma in jazz piano, and several scholarships and awards. In addition to private instruction, she currently gives workshops in improvisation designed to support musicians who are afraid to improvise or have little or no experience with improv. Her performance resume is impressive and diverse. As a singer/songwriter she has given performances in many types of venues. She is also a session musician, accompanist, and chorister. Since 2009 Beth has been teaching voice and piano at the Edmonton Institution for Women with the Sing for Life Society of Alberta. Through music, Beth supports and encourages the female inmates. She feels fortunate to make a difference in many women’s lives.
